The Katsura System exercises, a testament to the resilience of the community, were held in the Kahramanmaras Sutcu Imam University tent city. The area was, in fact, temporarily set up due to the earthquake that affected the area of Kahramanmaraş, the centre of the earthquake.
The exercises were particularly centred on people affected by the natural disaster, fostering a strong sense of community. They were designed to help them regain personal self-esteem and restart the feeling of community. In fact, all participants, with a determined spirit, underlined the importance of restarting their ordinary lives, starting with physical activity. The exercises involved more than 100 people and spanned many weeks in the winter and spring of 2024.
